On Friday 30th September, 2005, a dream came true. The Cancer Caring Centre was officially opened and it was an event to be remembered. Over 500 people from all walks of life were in attendance and the presentations reflected the enthusiasm and determination that has driven members of the Society to realize this dream.

Following the programme, which culminated in the official opening given by The Honourable Minister of Social Services on behalf of the Right Honourable Prime Minister, Mr. Perry Christie, a reception was held in the new Headquarters and attendees were given the opportunity of looking around the magnificent building, which now boasts of 10 double occupancy rooms for out-of-town patients, kitchen facilities, meeting rooms and beautiful gardens.
