The Sister Sister Breast Cancer Support Group and the Cancer Society of the Bahamas, in collaboration with British American Insurance Company, hosted two live 2 hour Town Meetings over Love 97 this month on the topic "The Implications of Breast Cancer". These meetings provided an excellent educational forum for National Breast Cancer Awareness Month.

The first meeting's panelists consisted of surgeon Dr Charles Diggiss, Oncologist Dr Theodore Turnquest, Survivor Nurse Sandra Rolle and husband of a survivor Jackson Burnside. The second meeting featured Radiologist Dr Larry Carroll of Doctors Hospital (who are offering a 50% discount on mammograms at their facility this month), Plastic Surgeon Dr Gregory Neil, Occupational Therapist Andrea Moss, survivor Pam Burnside and her husband Jackson Burnside.

The panelists discussed their experiences with cancer and fielded questions from the floor. Both evenings were extremely informative.
